Barcode sleet drives past
Grassmarket's packed cardboard box
accommodation.
Canonmills Tesco's
lights reflect on a raindrop
noticed by a child.
Rain on closed windows
bend Newtown reality,
clouding the outside.
In Marchmont Crescent
a Coke can clatters then stops.
A wet dog limps past
St. Margaret's Loch -
flamingos from Africa -
swans pink in the sun.
